Happy New Year! We know that sticking with a resolution isn’t always easy (check out our infographic for strategies that can help!), but that doesn’t mean they’re not worth making. In order to achieve a goal, you’ve got to start with an intention, right?
Here are some of our personal resolutions going into the new year:
In 2015, I’m going to happify my life by ____________:
“…….being more available when my parents need me.” –Marinell, designer
“…….savoring every aspect of a French movie…without subtitles.” –May, community manager
“…..recommitting to my (lapsed) yoga practice by going at least twice a week.” –Tiffany, head of content
“….living in the present.” –Jane, content marketing associate
What are some changes you’re going to make for a happier, healthier 2015?
We’re excited to present the Happy Wall, an interactive and thought-provoking public-art installation in Miami, designed to spark a bigger conversation about happiness and the power of positive psychology, and focus people’s attention on the good in their lives. Created by Hannah Sentenac, the Happy Wall will stay up in Coconut Grove’s Cocowalk through December 30, and encourage people to write what makes them happy on the chalkboard surface. Go check it out if you’re in the Miami area—it will encourage you to think of all the positives in your life and might even inspire others to do the same.
Not in Miami? You can still participate and enter to win a 1-year Happify Plus membership, worth $90! We’ll choose 25 winners at random from all eligible entries.
Here’s how to participate!
First, take a moment to think: What gets you up in the morning or puts a smile to your face even on a bad day?
To enter the sweepstakes, write down what makes you happy. Write it on an old photograph, the snow on your front steps, or even a simple piece of paper and post a photo of it on Twitter or Instagram. (If you’re in Coconut Grove, you can snap a photo of your “What makes me happy” chalk message straight from the wall.) To be eligible to win, you must follow and mention @happify in your post with the hashtag #whatmakesmehappy. Sweepstakes begins today and ends January 10, 2015.
